The IQOS ILUMA i uses SMARTCORE induction heating to warm the tobacco from the inside of each TEREA stick. Unlike older heated tobacco systems, there is no blade inside the holder, meaning no residue buildup and no need for regular cleaning. Each TEREA stick contains a sealed metal element that activates precisely when inserted, ensuring consistent flavour delivery from start to finish. This bladeless system not only improves reliability but also enhances taste consistency and reduces long-term maintenance. Once a session is complete, simply remove the used stick and you’re ready for the next one. IQOS ILUMA i Compatibility – TEREA Sticks Only
The IQOS ILUMA i Kit is compatible only with TEREA heated tobacco sticks. These sticks are specifically designed for SMARTCORE induction heating and will not work in older IQOS devices. Traditional HEETS or other heated tobacco sticks are not compatible. Attempting to use unsupported sticks may damage the device. For best performance, always use genuine TEREA sticks sourced from authorised UK retailers. Battery Life, Charging & Daily Use
The ILUMA i holder delivers multiple sessions per charge, while the pocket charger allows you to recharge the holder on the go. A full charge typically supports a full day of moderate use, depending on consumption habits. Charging is straightforward using the included charging cable. The touchscreen display provides clear visual feedback on battery level, heating status and session progress, helping you manage your device throughout the day.
